Which three players need to stay healthy for the Green Bay Packers in 2019?

Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game, and often Super Bowl-winning teams are not only talented, but also get lucky with injuries. There are exceptions, of course, but you only have to look back to last season’s Super Bowl to see my point.

The New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams both had just two players on the injury report ahead of the Super Bowl, and each injured player practiced fully on the Friday ahead of the game. That’s not including the players on injured reserve, of course, but compare that to the Packers’ injury report just a few weeks earlier. Against the Detroit Lions in Week 17, the Packers had 15 players on their injury report.

It’s another reason that made the NFC Championship Game loss to Seattle even more frustrating back in 2014. The Packers only had four players on the injury report ahead of the game. Aaron Rodgers was limited with a calf injury, but that hadn’t stopped him putting in a dominant performance the week earlier against Dallas.

Not only do you need to have luck with the amount of injuries you get, but teams also need their star players to stay healthy. With that in mind, let’s take a look at three players who the Green Bay Packers can’t afford to lose to injury during the 2019 season.
