Who is the best quarterback in the NFC North entering the 2019 season?

Quarterback is the most important position in all of sport. While it’s possible to be successful without an elite passer, having one on your team sets you up for multiple years of success. Reigning league MVP Patrick Mahomes is entering just his second season as the starting QB in Kansas City, and the Chiefs should now be considered playoff contenders every year moving forward.

The same has been the case for the Green Bay Packers with Brett Favre and now Aaron Rodgers. When Rodgers is at his best, the Packers are a difficult team to beat at Lambeau Field or anywhere else.

NFC North teams have spent a lot of money on the quarterback position. According to Over The Cap, three of the seven highest paid passers play in the NFC North: Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins and Matthew Stafford.

Rodgers is a two-time MVP with the Green Bay Packers. Stafford is a former Pro Bowler with the Detroit Lions. Cousins went to the Pro Bowl with the Washington Redskins and now enters his second year with the Minnesota Vikings. Mitch Trubisky was a Pro Bowler with the Chicago Bears last year.
