Bryan Bulaga has been consistent for the Green Bay Packers at right tackle, and he’s now entering his 10th season in the NFL.

Bryan Bulaga is the only Green Bay Packers offensive lineman remaining from the Super Bowl victory nine years ago, and he continues to play at an elite level at right tackle.

But this could be Bulaga’s final season with the Packers. Set to hit free agency next year, there will be interest from multiple teams, and the demand for pass-protecting tackles is always high around the league.

2018 review

David Bakhtiari is a three-time All-Pro at left tackle, but Bulaga is just as important to the Packers’ offensive line, and he put together another excellent season on the right side of the line, playing in 14 games.

ESPN ranked the top offensive tackles for pass-block win percentage in 2018, and Bulaga was second in the NFL, one spot ahead of Bakhtiari, with 92 percent. Of every right tackle in the NFL, Bulaga was given the second-best pass-blocking grade by Pro Football Focus.

Bulaga might not have the Pro Bowl or All-Pro selections he deserves, but make no mistake, it was yet another great season for the Packers’ right tackle.

Odds of making roster: 100 percent

The Packers need both Bulaga and Bakhtiari to stay healthy, as both players are key to the success of the offense with their excellent play on either side of the offensive line.

What to expect in 2019?

As ever, the key for Bulaga is to stay healthy. He has a long injury history, but he did manage to play in 14 games last season. I’m sure the Packers would take that again this year.

Bulaga turned 30 this offseason, and he’ll be expected to continue to play at close to an elite level this season.

But importantly, this is the final year on Bulaga’s current contract. If he stays healthy and puts together another strong season, the Packers might have no choice but to re-sign him, especially as they are very much in “win-now” mode.
