The 2019 season is fast approaching, so here are five bold predictions for the Green Bay Packers and the NFC North.

The NFC North is often a tough division to predict. All four teams have made the playoffs within the past three seasons, and three different teams have finished in first place since then.

Perhaps last season was the biggest surprise in recent memory. While many expected the Chicago Bears to be more competitive than we had seen in some time, few predicted they’d go on to comfortably win the division with both the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings missing out on the playoffs completely.

The Vikings were at one stage in good shape at 5-3-1, but went 3-4 in the final seven weeks. The Packers never really got going and were never more than a game above .500. Losing five of their final seven, Green Bay wasn’t in the NFC North race for long in 2018.

But a lot can change each season in the NFL, as the Bears proved. And once again, the NFC North is about as tough to predict as any other division. There isn’t a clear choice to pick as the winner of the division, which should make for an exciting season.

It might be a difficult division to predict, but let’s try anyway. Here are five bold predictions for the Packers, and the rest of the NFC North, for 2019.
