3. LB Deion Jones, Atlanta Falcons

Another key member of the Atlanta Falcons defense is set to hit free agency next offseason. And unless the Falcons can agree a long-term deal with at least one of them, they won’t be able to franchise tag both.

The Packers decided against adding an inside linebacker in the early rounds of the draft this year, and will instead expect Oren Burks to make a second-year jump this season.

But Blake Martinez is set to become a free agent next offseason, and if he doesn’t re-sign, the Packers could turn to free agency to find a replacement.

A Pro Bowler in 2017, Deion Jones would add speed to Green Bay’s defense. He has played a huge role in Dan Quinn’s defense over the past three years, making 297 tackles, 27 pass defenses, eight interceptions, two forced fumbles and three defensive touchdowns since 2016.

Jones only played six games due to injury in 2018, and the Falcons defense missed him.

Jones would be a perfect fit in Mike Pettine’s defense, and if he is available when free agency begins next March, the Packers should do everything possible to bring him to Green Bay.
