5. Tarik Cohen, Chicago Bears

Tarik Cohen had the best season of his career in 2018, the first in Matt Nagy’s offense. When Nagy was hired as head coach in Chicago last year, many predicted Cohen would have a significant role, and that’s exactly what happened.

In Nagy’s creative system, Cohen did just about everything. He was second for the Bears in rushing with 99 carries for 444 yards and three touchdowns, averaging a healthy 4.5 yards per carry. But Cohen’s best work came as a pass catcher, finishing with 71 receptions for 725 yards and five touchdowns. He finished second for the Bears in receiving.

Cohen also led the team in punt return yards, finishing 2018 with 33 returns for 411 yards at an average of 12.5 yards per return, fifth-best in the NFL.

And let’s not forget Cohen’s one touchdown pass last season. On the last play of the game in the fourth quarter against the New York Giants, down 27-20, Cohen threw a touchdown to rookie WR Anthony Miller, sending the game to overtime.

Cohen can do it all, and that’s what makes him such an important part of the Bears offense. He has made important plays for the Chicago Bears in his first two years in the NFL, and he could have his best season yet in 2019.
