Predicting the Green Bay Packers 53-man roster as we enter the second week of training camp.

Training camp got underway last week, and the Green Bay Packers are on the road to the start of the regular season under new head coach Matt LaFleur.

It’s still early days, and there is plenty of time remaining for competition battles to continue.

But based on everything we know so far, I’ve made my latest predictions for the Packers’ 53-man roster.

Quarterbacks (2)

Aaron Rodgers, DeShone Kizer

Now, this is going to be interesting. The battle for the backup QB job is wide open, but for now, I’m still going with DeShone Kizer winning the competition.

Andy Herman of Cheesehead TV noted on Friday that Tim Boyle had spent a lot of time working with the number two offense ahead of Kizer. That’s a potential sign of how things currently stand in the competition. However, Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com tweeted that Kizer impressed during Saturday’s practice.

There’s still a possibility the Packers decide to go with three QBs, especially when considering Aaron Rodgers’ recent injury history. If they do, Manny Wilkins could have an opportunity to make the roster.

This is a tough one to call. But my best guess entering the second week of training camp is that Kizer will be the backup quarterback.
