Wide receivers (6)

Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Equanimeous St. Brown, Trevor Davis, Jake Kumerow

This is a particularly interesting training camp battle.

What’s becoming clear is that Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are ahead of the rest. Adams and MVS are likely to start on the outside, with Allison taking on a bigger role in the slot. That’s an exciting start.

It would also be a big surprise if Equanimeous St. Brown didn’t make the roster as the fourth wide receiver.

That leaves two spots on the roster, unless the Packers decide to keep seven. I’m going with Trevor Davis and Jake Kumerow making the final 53, which means 2018 fourth-round pick J’Mon Moore misses out.

Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com tweeted on Sunday that Davis “looks as comfortable as he ever has on offense”. It’s also worth noting that Sunday’s practice was in full pads, which is an encouraging sign for Davis. He’ll need to build on his good start to training camp, but when you add in his special teams work, Davis must have a great chance to make the roster.

Jake Kumerow has also been getting good reviews for his performances in practice. And importantly, the head coach has been impressed:

This training camp competition is far from over, but Davis and Kumerow are my picks to make the roster as the fifth and sixth receivers.
