NFC North

1. Packers (10-6)

2. Bears (10-6)

3. Vikings (8-8)

4. Lions (8-8)

Here we go. Following back-to-back third-place finishes, the Green Bay Packers take back the NFC North title, finishing ahead of the Chicago Bears due to a better division record.

Overall, it should be a competitive division, and no team here finishes with a losing record. But let’s focus on the Packers for a moment.

I’m predicting rookie head coach Matt LaFleur will follow in the footsteps of former colleague Sean McVay, and division rival Matt Nagy, leading his new team to immediate success. By bringing his creative offense to Green Bay, two-time MVP Aaron Rodgers should return to form, as long as he’s healthy.

Just as significant will be the improvements on defense, powered by a new-look pass rush featuring Za’Darius Smith, Rashan Gary and Preston Smith. And they also have an ascending secondary featuring Jaire Alexander, Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage Jr.

Those factors, paired with a reasonable 2019 schedule, will lead to a division-winning, 10-win season.

The Bears also reach the playoffs as wild-card. And despite the Vikings and Lions both constructing talented rosters, playing in such a tough division causes them to fall to 8-8.

Two teams reach the postseason from the NFC North, but it’s going to be an interesting battle for the division title.
