Three Green Bay Packers who need to play well in the third preseason game next week.

We’re halfway through the preseason, and up next for the Green Bay Packers is potentially the most important and interesting exhibition contest on the schedule. It’s often in the third preseason game that starters on both teams play the majority of their snaps.

For the Packers, this is likely the last opportunity Aaron Rodgers will have to get some game reps before the regular season. He missed this past week’s game due to back tightness. He’ll need to be feeling 100 percent to play next week.

But as the preseason moves along quickly and the regular season moves within less than three weeks, now is an important time for players on the roster bubble to play well. For some players, the next two games will determine whether they will make the 53-man roster.

Green Bay’s starters will likely see some time on the field next Thursday night, which could mean there’s less time for the backups. That makes every snap important.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at three players who need to play well in the third preseason contest against the Oakland Raiders. Of course, this game is set to be played at a neutral venue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
