Cornerbacks (6)

Jaire Alexander, Kevin King, Josh Jackson, Tramon Williams, Tony Brown, Kadar Hollman

For the first time in a while, the cornerback position feels like a position of strength. There is a lot of depth in this group, making it tough for newcomers to make the team. Luckily, Pettine loves to have defensive backs on the field.

If there are injuries at the safety position, I think Tramon Williams can slide over to safety if he needed to, but all six of these players have shown they can play. Natrell Jamerson was my 54th player. He missed a lot of tackles in the preseason and his versatility would be helpful, but I think Will Redmond can be versatile between safety and corner as well.

Safety (4)

Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage, Raven GreeneWill Redmond

Amos and Savage will be a nice pair to have in the secondary. I added Redmond on here because while Greene is on here too, he will be playing a lot of nickel linebacker. I think having another safety who can also play corner for depth is a safe call.

Ibraheim Campbell is also an option but is still on the PUP list. If he were to come off, Redmond’s spot on the team would probably come to an end.

Specialists (3)

JK Scott, Mason CrosbyHunter Bradley

JK Scott has had a really nice preseason. He has been booming punts all camp. I feel a lot better about where he is this year than where he was last year. He had no competition in camp and apparently didn’t need any either.

Crosby had some pressure applied when the Packers brought in Sam Ficken. At first, I thought he was just a leg in camp, but LaFleur made it clear that he had a shot to make the team. Ficken never really did enough for me to want him over Crosby. At the end of the day, I liked Crosby’s experience. He’s been in tough situations. Also, I’d rather see Ficken in a Bears uniform Week 1 in Chicago than Crosby.
