Packers vs. Bears Week 1: Start time, live stream, TV info and more
Everything you need to know about the Green Bay Packers’ 2019 season opener against the Chicago Bears.
Here we go.
It feels a long, long time ago that the Green Bay Packers were losing a home game against the Arizona Cardinals, leading to team president Mark Murphy making a change at head coach.
A long offseason followed, but the Matt LaFleur era is finally ready to get underway. Tonight, the Packers are on the road against the Chicago Bears. And it’s a particularly important game as it kicks off the NFL’s 100th season.
Here are all of the details about how to watch tonight’s game:
Date: Thursday, Sept. 5
Kickoff time: 7:20 p.m. CT
Location: Chicago, IL
Stadium: Soldier Field
TV channel: NBC
Live stream: fuboTV
Throughout his career, Aaron Rodgers has been dominant at Soldier Field. In games he’s played in Chicago, the Packers have gone 7-3. Six of those victories have come in Rodgers’ past seven games at Soldier Field.
But he lost his most recent trip to Chicago, and the Bears clinched the NFC North title as a result.
Both teams are back at 0-0 now, though, just as they were when they met around this time last year. The game at Lambeau Field was an all-time classic, Rodgers playing through a knee injury to lead the Packers to one of their most memorable comeback victories.
The Packers would certainly take that result again in Week 1 this season, as long as Rodgers doesn’t get injured this time.
We’re set for what should be an interesting race in the NFC North with the Packers, Bears and Vikings all contenders in the division. Late in December, the result of tonight’s game could have huge importance.
Can Green Bay kick off the Matt LaFleur era with an important victory over the defending NFC North champions?
