Three bold predictions for Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Opportunity. That’s what both the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings have this week. The opportunity to take an early lead at the top of the NFC North standings. And depending on the other two games featuring division opponents, it’s possible the winner at Lambeau will have two more victories than both the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.

Minnesota has dominated this rivalry in recent years, and hasn’t lost to Green Bay since late in the 2016 season. New head coach Matt LaFleur will be aiming to change that and maintain his 100 percent winning record in his first home game.

Also, the Packers went through the entire 2018 season without winning consecutive games. This would be the perfect time to end that run. They’ll be hoping for a better start than last year — after defeating the Bears in Week 1, they had to settle for a tie against the Vikings a week later.

A strong defensive performance in Week 1 was very encouraging, and the Packers will be hoping that continues up against an offense that rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns last week.

What can we expect from Green Bay against Minnesota this week? Ahead of Sunday’s important NFC North contest, here are three bold predictions.
