1. Rashan Gary gets first career sack

Rashan Gary may have only played limited snaps in his NFL debut, but he quickly made an impact. According to Peter Bukowski of SB Nation, Gary had two pressures despite only playing six snaps against the Chicago Bears last week.

There could be a couple of reasons why Gary didn’t play many snaps last week. He suffered an injury in the third preseason game against the Oakland Raiders, let’s not forget, and it’s also possible defensive coordinator Mike Pettine wanted to ease him in, especially in such an important game.

But Gary delivered. With 10 days between the two games, he could be in line for more snaps in Week 2. And that will lead to his first career sack.

After the impact Preston and Za’Darius Smith made last week (a combined eight tackles, 2.5 sacks and six QB hits), they will be the focus of the Vikings’ offensive line. That’s going to create opportunities for the Packers’ first-round pick to make plays.

If Green Bay’s run defense matches last week’s performance, Kirk Cousins is going to have to pass more than 10 times in this game. That, too, will allow the Packers’ pass rush to generate pressure.

If Gary gets a bigger opportunity this week, he’ll make it count.
