1. Jaire Alexander

Before the season started, Jaire Alexander set his sights on an All-Pro, Pro Bowl campaign. If he keeps playing the way he has the past two weeks, there is no doubt he will get serious consideration for All-Pro and easily wrap up his first Pro Bowl bid.

Alexander was all over Adam Thielen on Sunday. He held tight coverage, had two passes defended and almost made the play of the game showing his range, just missing intercepting Cousins’ pass intended for Stefon Diggs.

If Alexander’s smothering coverage wasn’t enough, he made sure tackles in the run game. Even when passes were completed, he was there to minimize the gain. Alexander has also been getting high praise from his All-Pro quarterback.

Alexander has given himself a solid foundation to build off of in the first two games of 2019. He, along with his running mates in the secondary, are building something special. If this group can stay healthy all season long, there’s reason to believe we will see more performances like the one Cousins had.

The new pass rush, coupled with the play of the secondary, gives the Packers the best defense they have had in a long time. If he can stay healthy and continue to elevate his play, the Packers will have one side of the field covered.
