4. Adrian Amos

Adrian Amos was one of the key signings of the offseason. His veteran presence has led a much-improved secondary to one of the best starts the team has seen in a long time. His role may expand even more.

The injury to Raven Greene leaves a hole next to Blake Martinez. B.J. Goodson may have enough time in the system to play a larger role this week. But, the safe bet would be Mike Pettine putting more responsibilities in his veteran safety’s hands. After Greene went down, Pettine used Amos as his dime linebacker and inserted Will Redmond. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the defense open the game the way it ended the last.

Regardless of where he lines up, he will still be the key communicator in the back end. The Broncos have mostly unproven players at receiver, but Flacco still has plenty of arm, and Courtland Sutton and DeSean Hamilton have a ton of talent and are capable of putting up big games. The Broncos also still have Emmanuel Sanders, the crafty veteran who can find holes in the defense with the best of them.

The Broncos will look to establish the run to get those guys going. If Amos is playing in that linebacker role or close to the line of scrimmage, he will need to show he’s the all-around player the Packers think he is.
