Kevin King is active for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Green Bay Packers will need their defense to get back to their best in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys, but the good news is they’ll have Kevin King on the field.

King was originally listed as doubtful for the game on Friday’s injury report, but he was upgraded to questionable on Saturday and is now set to play. The Packers released their list of inactives ahead of Sunday’s game at Dallas, and King is active.

King had one of the best games of his career last week against the Philadelphia Eagles when matched up against Alshon Jeffery. It’ll be interesting to see whether it’s King or Jaire Alexander covering Amari Cooper today.

Green Bay will be without Davante Adams, Tony Brown and new addition Tim Williams.

Interestingly, running back Dexter Williams remains inactive. The Packers have instead gone with Tra Carson as the number two running back with Jamaal Williams out. It’ll be a backfield of Aaron Jones and Carson, and fullback Danny Vitale may also get a couple of carries.

It’s great news for the secondary to have King out there. It’s unlikely he’ll be 100 percent, and it could mean the Packers will need second-year cornerback Josh Jackson to play more snaps.

Both teams have a few key players out due to injury. Left tackle Tyron Smith is the biggest loss for the Cowboys. The Packers will need to take advantage and generate pressure on Dak Prescott.

The Packers haven’t lost at AT&T Stadium, but they’ll need to win without Adams in Week 5.
