Stock down: Jimmy Graham

This is exactly the type of game where the Packers needed their big-money tight end. Without Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison, and with a young group of wide receivers on the field, they needed their veteran pass-catching tight end to step up and make some key contributions.

Credit where it’s due, Graham did make an excellent catch in traffic on the game-winning drive. But those moments have been few and far between since Graham arrived in Green Bay. On Monday night, he caught just two of his five targets for an unimpressive 17 yards.

At this stage, we know what we’re getting from Graham. Occasionally, he’ll be able to make a tough catch in traffic, but he isn’t consistently making plays. And it’s hurting the offense. Especially with Robert Tonyan out due to injury and rookie Jace Sternberger on injured reserve.

In the opening six games, Graham has caught just 14 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns. That’s under 25 yards per game. He’s only had more than three catches once in a game this year, and twice he hasn’t made a single reception.

The Packers are paying Graham a lot of money, but so far this season, he hasn’t made the impact they expected he would.
