Packers rule out Davante Adams, Darnell Savage for Week 7
The Green Bay Packers have been able to win twice without Davante Adams. They’ll need to make it three in a row in Week 7 against the Oakland Raiders.
After not practicing all week, both wide receiver Davante Adams and safety Darnell Savage have been ruled out for the Packers‘ game against the Raiders.
But there could be more players out for this game for the Packers.
Two players have been listed on the injury report as doubtful: wide receiver Geronimo Allison and tight end Robert Tonyan. They are as good as ruled out for the game, although there’s still a slight chance they play. Kevin King was doubtful to play the Cowboys two weeks ago, but was upgraded to questionable on Saturday and then played on Sunday. But that was the exception to the rule.
Three players were listed as questionable: cornerback Tony Brown, defensive tackle Kenny Clark and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The good news is that all three participated in Friday’s practice, although they were limited. Brown was a limited participant all week.
Jimmy Graham and Tramon Williams — who didn’t practice Thursday — were limited on Friday and don’t carry an injury designation. They’ll both be ready to go against the Raiders.
The Raiders will also be without their number one wide receiver, Tyrell Williams. He has been ruled out for Sunday’s game, and defensive end Arden Key also won’t be available. Tackle Trent Brown is doubtful to play.
If Kenny Clark is active, it’ll be good news for the Packers’ defense in a tough matchup against the Raiders’ ground game featuring talented rookie running back Josh Jacobs.
The Packers will also be hoping Marquez Valdes-Scantling is active with Davante Adams already ruled out and Geronimo Allison doubtful.
Hopefully, we’ll get a better idea on Saturday about which players listed as questionable might be able to play.
