2. Aaron Jones/Jamaal Williams

One reason why Rodgers was able to have so much success was the tandem of Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams. After taking turns having over 100 yards rushing in back-to-back games, the Packers’ dynamic backfield duo combined for only 55 yards rushing, but came through with eight catches for 59 yards and two touchdowns.

In fact, it was the duo of Jones and Williams that got the ball rolling by scoring the first two touchdowns.

Jones’ catch was a thing of beauty. Running what looked like a corner route from the backfield, Jones easily beat the linebacker and Rodgers put a beautiful pass right on him for the score. Jones looked more like a receiver than a running back on the play, twisting his body around for the catch and touchdown.

Williams’ catch was a little more simple, but still a thing of beauty. Coming out of the backfield for a quick route that was wide open for the score.

When asked to run, Jones was effective, averaging 4.2 yards per carry and moving the chains on short-run third downs.

The passing game was clearly the bread and butter of the day, but if not for the threat of Jones and Williams, Rodgers’ day may not have been as great.
