The Green Bay Packers will look to improve to 7-1 while on the road to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. We’ll take a look at the matchups in this week’s tale of the tape.

This matchup has been one I’ve been looking forward to for a while. The exciting thing is, this is looking more and more like a game the Packers could and possibly should win.

Week 5 was somewhat a turning point for both these teams. The Packers were coming off a loss at home against the Eagles but turned things around, beating the Cowboys in Dallas. Meanwhile, the Chiefs were undefeated and then suffered their first loss of the season to the Colts.

Both teams continued to trend in opposite directions. The Packers haven’t lost since, and the Chiefs went on to lose the next week against the Texans before righting the ship last week in a win over the Broncos.

That alone was giving me some hope that the Packers could actually hang with the high-powered Chiefs offense, especially the way this Packers offense has gotten going lately. But now, unfortunately, it will be a “stretch” for Patrick Mahomes to play in the upcoming game after suffering dislocated kneecap in their last game.

As a Packer fan, it will make life a lot easier on the defense to face Matt Moore rather than the reigning MVP, but as a fan of football, I feel like we are missing a potentially special game between two of the game’s best quarterbacks.

But it is what it is. I’m sure the Packers aren’t going to be sitting around wishing Mahomes would be under center next week, so let’s focus on who will be in the game when the Packers visit Arrowhead, one of the toughest places to play in the entire league.
