Davante Adams didn’t practice on Wednesday, but the Green Bay Packers appear to be getting healthier ahead of a showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs this week.

As usual, the injury report was a long one. But of the 17 players on the report, only one didn’t practice for the Packers: Davante Adams.

However, head coach Matt LaFleur didn’t rule out Adams for this week’s game.

According to Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, LaFleur believes it could be a game-time decision:

If I had to guess, it’s that the Packers will decide not to rush him back and rest him one more week. But that’s just a guess, and there’s at least a chance he could be back for this game.

But even if Adams needs another week to get closer to 100 percent, the Packers could get a few players back from injury.

Of the 17 players on the injury report, 11 were listed as full participants. That included rookie safety Darnell Savage, tight end Robert Tonyan and cornerback Tony Brown.

Right tackle Bryan Bulaga and tight end Marcedes Lewis were limited at practice, but that was veteran rest and not due to injuries.

The Packers could be the healthiest they’ve been since the season opener, which would be important in a tough road game at Arrowhead Stadium. And with consecutive road games coming up, not dealing with too many injuries would make a big difference.

If Adams doesn’t return in this game, the Packers will need to continue what they’ve been doing on offense over the past three games. Run the ball well and spread the ball around to multiple receivers. It worked beautifully last Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

Adams’ status remains up in the air, but there looks to be some good news with injured players potentially returning.
