Four trade targets for the Green Bay Packers ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

What a start for the Green Bay Packers this season. The Packers are 7-1 with impressive wins in their schedule and going 4-0 without their star wide receiver Davante Adams.

There are still some issues with the Packers and we have seen it for the past few weeks.

The trade deadline is today at 4 p.m. ET, so will GM Brian Gutekunst make a deal and who should he get?

Alex Erickson, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Let’s get this clear, the likelihood the Packers trade for A.J. Green isn’t high, but the likelihood they trade with the Bengals is. Cincinnati is struggling with an 0-7 record and they might want a few picks to help them in the draft.

Erickson, the former Wisconsin Badger, is having a good season with 25 catches and 343 yards, but Erickson could make an impact in returning kicks and punts. Erickson has only caught two kickoffs and nine punts this year, but in 2018 he was a reliable returner. The 26-year-old was second in kick return yards with 1,049 on 40 returns and caught 20 punts for 212 yards.

Jakeem Grant, WR, Miami Dolphins

Grant isn’t known for his ability on offense, but he still brings depth to the position. Grant could help the issues on special teams as he’s a talented kick returner. He has returned 14 kickoffs for 319 yards, which is fourth in the NFL.

Offensively, Grant has 11 receptions for 84 yards and hasn’t caught a touchdown, but his speed is no joke. The Miami Dolphins are trying to acquire as many picks as they can, but Grant does have four years left on his contract, so the Dolphins could hold some leverage.

DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins

Yes, another Dolphins player. The Dolphins’ mission this season is simply to get as many picks as they can. Parker isn’t a free agent next year as there’s a club option for 2020, but he hasn’t been living up to his hype of being the 14th overall selection in 2015.

Parker has 24 receptions on 343 yards with three touchdowns this year, even though Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen are throwing the ball. Parker hasn’t blossomed into a true WR1 Miami has hoped for, so it might be time to move on. Parker, 26, is still young and could be a solid WR2 and the potential is there for his prime years.

Robby Anderson, WR, New York Jets

The Jets have been miserable this year and we have seen them active in the trade market as they shipped Leonard Williams to the New York Giants for a third-round pick in 2020 and a fifth-round pick in 2021 (fourth if Williams is extended).

Anderson, 26, for the past two seasons, has been a solid player for the Jets, but this year, due to coaching and the quarterback play, he hasn’t seen the ball in his hands as much. This year, Anderson has 21 catches on 309 yards with one touchdown, so perhaps a change in teams could help him boost his numbers.

Anderson is heading into the free agency market next year, so the price could be low and the Packers could have a chance to re-sign him.
