Packers vs. 49ers: Davante Adams limited at practice on Thursday
Davante Adams was limited at practice on Thursday.
There weren’t too many changes to the injury report on Thursday. The Green Bay Packers are healthy ahead of their biggest game of the season on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
Outside of the four players given veteran rest (right tackle Bryan Bulaga, tight end Jimmy Graham, tight end Marcedes Lewis and cornerback Tramon Williams), everybody practiced on Thursday. Like on Wednesday, wide receiver Davante Adams and fullback Danny Vitale were limited. Backup guard Cole Madison was added to the injury report with a knee injury, and he was limited at practice.
Overall, it’s fair to expect the majority of the players on the injury report to be ready to go. Perhaps one or two will be listed as questionable, but it’s also a possibility the team will be fully healthy for Sunday.
The 49ers have a few injury concerns, however.
The status of tight end George Kittle and wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Deebo Samuel remains up in the air. All three players returned to practice on Thursday but were limited. However, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports predicted that all three will be available for Sunday’s game.
It is looking more likely that edge rusher Dee Ford, who is third for the 49ers in sacks this season with 6.5, will miss the game. He hasn’t practiced so far this week. Running back Matt Breida and kicker Robbie Gould also didn’t practice and could miss the game.
As ever, Friday is the key day. That’s when each team will release injury designations for each player. There shouldn’t be too many surprises for the Packers as it looks like just about everyone will be ready to go.
But it’ll be interesting to see whether Kittle, Samuel and Sanders are likely to play. We might find out on Friday.
