Week 14: Redskins

For the second straight week, barring injuries, the Packers will face a rookie quarterback. Dwayne Haskins has started two games and is 0-2 in that time. In their last game, the Redskins lost to the Jets. It was ugly. You can tell this team is frustrated, especially seeing Haskins’ interaction with his offensive line during the game.

With a team as young as the Redskins, there are bound to be some frustrations. Along with Haskins, they have a possible star in the making with rookie receiver Terry McLaurin. He has been a great receiver for the Redskins this year when they are able to get him the ball.

At running back, Derrius Guice is finally healthy and becoming a big part of this offense. Last week, he scored his first NFL touchdown on a 45-yard screen pass. He should be a player to keep an eye on for the Packers when they play the Redskins.

Something that stands out to me is the Redskins’ pass protection. According to Football Outsiders, they have a 9.8 percent adjusted sack rate, which is 29th in the league. The league average is 7.2 percent. This tells me that Za’Darius and Preston Smith should be a big part of this game. If the Smiths can hit and bother Haskins all game, life will be a lot easier for the Packers defense.

I don’t think the Washington defense will be able to keep the Packers offense from putting up points either. I think the Packers enjoy another victory here to push their record to 11-2.

Prediction: Packers win (11-2)
