Week 15: Bears

In the final home game of the regular season, the Packers will host the Bears. The Bears have clearly not lived up to the hype they entered the season with. Many thought them to be Super Bowl contenders with a stout defense and an offense that was about to make major gains under their offensive-minded second-year coach, Matt Nagy.

Well, their defense is still pretty darn good. Their offense, on the other hand, has been a dumpster fire. Mitchell Trubisky, who some had as a potential preseason MVP, has been awful. Last game, he missed the end of the game with a hip injury, but I think it’s pretty apparent he was benched.

The Bears will have to play the Giants, Lions, and Cowboys before they play the Packers. Depending on how they do in those games, the Bears may not have anything to play for and the Packers may see Chase Daniel instead of Trubisky. But the way Trubisky has been playing, they might rather face him than Daniel.

I think the Packers’ offense has vastly improved since their matchup in Week 1 and should be able to put up more than 10 points, even against the Bears’ solid defense. The Smiths should be able to get after the quarterback again and cause some problems for their offense, propelling the Pack to a 12-2 record.

Prediction: Packers win (12-2)
