Packers: Bryan Bulaga, Jimmy Graham don’t practice Wednesday
The Green Bay Packers are close to being fully healthy, but they were without a few players at Wednesday’s practice.
Three Packers didn’t practice on Wednesday ahead of the game against the New York Giants this weekend.
Right tackle Bryan Bulaga didn’t practice due to the knee injury that forced him to exit last week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Tight end Jimmy Graham didn’t practice due to a calf injury, and safety Will Redmond didn’t practice due to a foot injury.
In total, there are nine players on the Packers’ injury report for Week 13. Two of them, tight end Marcedes Lewis and cornerback Tramon Williams, were given a rest day.
Davante Adams is still recovering from a toe injury and was limited at practice on Wednesday.
The good news is that fullback Danny Vitale and tight end Robert Tonyan, who both played last week but were questionable prior to the game, were full participants.
The Giants only listed four players on the injury report, but they all didn’t practice on Wednesday. The Giants could be without a few key players on offense. Wide receiver Golden Tate and tight ends Evan Engram and Rhett Ellison didn’t practice. Safety Jabrill Peppers also didn’t practice.
Considering how the Packers defense has struggled covering receivers in the middle of the field, especially tight ends, this will be something to watch as the week goes on. Tate and Engram both have the potential to have big performances against this defense.
It’s difficult to learn too much from the injury report this early in the week. We’ll get a much better idea of whether Bulaga, Graham or Redmond will be able to play as the week goes on.
But overall, the Packers are healthy, and this is a game they’ll be expected to win on Sunday.
