1. Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones‘ breakout season has hit a little bit of a speed bump. Over the last three weeks, Jones has been almost ignored. He has only one catch for minus-one yard and was almost shut down completely by the 49ers.

The return of Davante Adams is partially the reason why. Head coach Matt LaFleur hasn’t quite figured out how to use both in the pass game. Another reason is teams have caught on and started respecting Jones as a receiver more, covering him with defensive backs instead of linebackers.

LaFleur must get back to featuring Jones in the run and pass game while incorporating Adams. Both players have become equally important to the offense and there’s no reason why they can’t co-exist in the passing offense.

The key will be to establish Jones in the run game first. Jones getting big gains on the ground will open him and Adams up in the passing game and will make play-action more effective while giving the offense the balance it needs to be successful.

The Giants don’t feature the same type of front seven the Packers have seen over the course of the season, so there should be holes in the run game for Jones to find. Although the Giants are better against the run than the pass, this should still be the game the Packers can get right.
