Week 14: Washington Redskins

Just like that, the Washington Redskins have won two in a row. Just in time for a meeting with the Packers at Lambeau Field. But it’s important to note the two opponents they’ve faced in the past couple of weeks. First, they won a close game against the Jeff Driskel-led Detroit Lions. They then defeated a Carolina Panthers team that has now lost four in a row.

But the fact still remains that Washington is 3-9 and heading for one of the top picks in the draft next spring. This is a game the Packers will be expected to win, and win well.

Of course, nothing should be taken for granted in the NFL. The Packers were supposed to beat the Arizona Cardinals around this time last year, but lost in what would be Mike McCarthy’s final game as head coach.

This is a very different Packers team, however.

The biggest factor in this game will be turnovers. Green Bay’s turnover differential is plus-11 after 12 games, which is tied for second in the NFL, according to The Football Database. The defense forced three turnovers against the New York Giants this past week, and will have the chance to make more game-changing plays against a Washington offense that has turned the ball over 17 times so far this season.

At home, the Packers win comfortably.

Prediction: Green Bay 32, Washington 14 (10-3)
