Packers: Predicting each game remaining in final four weeks of 2019
Week 15: Chicago Bears
At 6-6, the Chicago Bears are still in the NFC playoff race entering Week 14. They’ll almost certainly need to win out to have any chance of returning to the playoffs for the second season in a row, and even a 10-6 record might not be enough. Whether they are still in the playoff picture in Week 15 will be determined by their result against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.
A win, and they’ll enter Lambeau Field at 7-6 having had an extra few days to rest and prepare for the game. But whether they win or lose this upcoming week against Dallas, the Packers will need to take this game seriously. A division opponent, home or away, is never an easy game.
Even if Chicago is out of playoff contention, it’d love nothing more than to ruin Green Bay’s plans of winning the division.
The Bears haven’t been as dominant defensively as they were a year ago, but they still rank near the top in most categories. They are allowing just 17.3 points per game and 222.2 passing yards per game.
Where the Bears have struggled is offensively. They have scored just 17.7 points per game. In 11 games, quarterback Mitch Trubisky has thrown just 13 touchdown passes with seven interceptions.
The Packers beat the Bears 10-3 earlier in the year. It could be a low-scoring game once again, but it’ll be slightly more comfortable this time.
Prediction: Green Bay 24, Chicago 14 (11-3)
