4. Randall Cobb

It’s fair to say the Packers could’ve done with Randall Cobb this season. Cobb signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys in the offseason but will become a free agent again in the spring. Considering the Packers were willing to move on this past offseason, it might seem unlikely they’d be willing to bring him back in 2020. But if it’s a one-year, affordable contract, it could make sense.

Cobb is having a good season with the Cowboys. In 11 games, he’s caught 42 passes for 634 yards and two touchdowns. He’s on pace for his best season since 2014. With Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup on the roster, Cobb is the third option in the passing game but he’s done a good job in that role.

Cobb could be a good fit in Matt LaFleur’s offense, something we didn’t get to see. The Packers also wouldn’t have to worry about him having to establish a connection with Aaron Rodgers as he spent eight years playing with him.

Given the amount of talent in the draft class, it seems unlikely the Packers will re-sign Cobb in the offseason. But he’s played well in Dallas, has a connection with Rodgers and would be a great third or fourth option.
