1. Amari Cooper

This is perhaps the least likely to happen, but Amari Cooper would be a huge signing for the Packers. All of a sudden, a wide receiver duo of Cooper and Davante Adams would easily be the league’s very best. Cooper is going to earn a huge deal at some point, whether that’s with the Dallas Cowboys or elsewhere. But if the Packers could make a move happen, it’d be great news for Matt LaFleur’s offense.

There’s a chance Cooper signs a long-term deal with the Cowboys before this season ends, but that doesn’t appear to be likely. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported that “no talks are anticipated until after the season”. Not just for Cooper, but also Dak Prescott and Byron Jones.

Well, that could be great news for another team. Maybe it could be the Packers.

And they’ve seen up close just how talented he is. Cooper dominated the Packers defense earlier this season, catching 11 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown. Making it even more impressive was that he was often being covered by second-year star Jaire Alexander.

It’s hard to imagine the Packers being able to offer the same kind of money other teams could, even if Cooper did become a free agent, but it’s something they should try to make happen.
