The last two teams the Packers played with good defensive lines produced two of their worst performances of the year. The Redskins don’t have the same type of talent as the 49ers and Chargers, but they do have a solid line.

Unlike the 49ers and Chargers, the Redskins’ strength is more up the middle than on the edge. Ryan Kerrigan is a solid player and Montez Sweat has a ton of speed, but the Redskins’ three guys on the inside are more likely to be the problem.

So far in his rookie year, Elgton Jenkins has been exactly what the Packers need. Even before Lane Taylor‘s injury, it looked as if Jenkins was on the fast track to take over the left guard spot. Since taking over, the Packers have not looked back or missed Taylor. Jenkins has been a rock, showing his athletic ability and strength that made him a second-round pick.

Billy Turner‘s season hasn’t been as stellar, more up than down and showing room for improvement. But, he has done nothing to make the Packers regret giving him the contract they did this offseason.

These two will have their hands full. Matt Ioannidis leads the Redskins with 7.5 sacks and Jonathan Allen isn’t far behind with five. But if these two can handle their positions and make their blocks, the Packers should be able to execute their game plan. If not, it could be a long day for the Pack.
