4. Packers rush for over 150 yards

In contrast, the Packers will have a lot of success on the ground. The game script should set up perfectly for a big game from Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams. The Packers should have a lead in the second half and they’ll be able to control the tempo by staying committed to the rushing attack.

It also helps that the Redskins defense enters this game ranked 27th against the run. They are giving up 131.6 yards on the ground per game. Washington did limit Christian McCaffrey to 44 yards on 14 carries last week, which was a surprise, but the game script should favor the Packers in this one.

The Packers have the talent on offense to score quickly early on, and an opportunistic defense to force turnovers. If Green Bay enters the second half in a strong position, we should see more from the ground game and, as a result, the play-action pass.

Aaron Jones has been quiet in recent games, rushing for less than 40 yards three times in the past four. He’s averaged just 1.64 yards per carry in the past two weeks since his three-touchdown performance against the Carolina Panthers.

But Jones bounces back this week and, along with Williams, combines for over 150 yards on the ground.
