3. The Smith Bros. combine for five sacks

If the Packers can build a lead and make the Redskins offense have to throw to catch up, the defense will be able to do what it does best, which is rushing the passer and creating turnovers.

The Packers didn’t make a single sack last week against the Giants, but they came close. Za’Darius Smith had a great game, making five quarterback hits and regularly hurrying quarterback Daniel Jones.

The Smith Bros. don’t need any introduction after the season they’ve had so far. But I expect both Za’Darius and Preston Smith to have another big game at home against a struggling offensive line.

Dwayne Haskins has started four games for Washington, but he’s already been sacked 18 times. That’s an average of 4.5 sacks per game. Despite winning last week against the Panthers, Haskins was sacked five times.

Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine will bring pressure, and the Smith Bros. could have a big game as a result. The two have combined for 20.5 sacks and 47 quarterback hits this season. After the two failed to make a single sack against the Giants, I expected them to bounce back here.

In a big game for Green Bay’s defense, the Smith Bros. finish with five sacks.
