It was hardly the Green Bay Packers’ finest performance, but they got the win in Week 14.

Despite an ugly second-half performance on offense, the Green Bay Packers held onto the lead to get a crucial victory against the Washington Redskins.

The Packers got off to a fast start with a 14-0 lead, but they’d add only six more points in the remainder of the game, eventually winning 20-15.

But the Packers did enough to win, led by the defense. Green Bay sacked Dwayne Haskins four times and Adrian Amos made a key interception.

Once again, Aaron Jones showed why he needs to be the featured running back. He had 16 carries, rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown. He also led the Packers in receiving with six catches for 58 yards.

Aaron Rodgers found 10 different receivers in total, but the offense struggled, particularly in the second half. Receivers weren’t getting open, Rodgers held the ball for long periods of time and the offense couldn’t find any rhythm. It was like watching the 2018 Packers offense.

But in the end, they held onto the win, and that’s what matters the most. It’s not about style points. It’s about getting the victory. It’s a significant one, too, Green Bay’s 10th of the year. With the Minnesota Vikings winning at home against the Detroit Lions, the Packers maintain their one-game lead atop the NFC North and move a step closer to the playoffs.

That said, this team has a lot to get right. It feels a lot like the 2015 season currently. Green Bay isn’t playing like a 10-3 team and will need to be a lot better next week when the Chicago Bears visit Lambeau Field. The Bears have bounced back after a slow start to the season and are very much in the playoff race.

Green Bay needs two more wins to secure the division title with three games to go. Matt LaFleur would’ve taken that back in September, but this team has a lot to improve.
