No. 3 seed

To me, this seems like the most likely scenario for Green Bay. Being able to host a playoff game after missing the postseason altogether the past two seasons is big. It’s even bigger knowing that they are doing this with a first-year head coach.

I know a lot of fans may not agree with me, but should the Packers enter the playoffs as the three seed in the NFC, I’d say this season was a big success. Very few people even had them making the playoffs this year, let alone winning the division and snagging the three seed.

What needs to happen

In order to guarantee themselves at least the three seed, the Pack needs to win one of their two remaining games. If they do that, they will win the division and will be out of the wild-card. The reason I think this is the most likely outcome is that I think that’s exactly what will happen.

The Packers lose to Minnesota and beat Detroit, finishing the season with a 12-4 record, winning the NFC North.

The Vikings beat Green Bay and Chicago, also finishing the season with a 12-4 record but lose the division due to the division record tiebreaker with the Packers.

The Saints finish with a record of 13-3. They play at Tennessee and at Carolina to end the season. The Packers hold the tiebreaker over them, so they would need to finish with a better record than Green Bay to snag the second or first seed.

Aaron Rodgers has yet to win a game in Minnesota since they’ve built U.S. Bank Stadium. As much as I’d love to see them pull it off, I just don’t see them doing it.
