For the Green Bay Packers to earn the NFC’s number one seed, they’ll need some help. Here are three teams to root for in Week 16.

The Green Bay Packers have secured a playoff berth for the first time since 2016, but a lot is still on the line in the final two weeks. Green Bay can still finish as high as the NFC’s number one seed or as low as the number six seed. This week, Matt LaFleur’s team has the opportunity to guarantee one of the top-four seeds and a home game with a victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Doing so would clinch the division title.

That’s priority number one for LaFleur. Victory would be the Packers’ 12th, and good for the division crown ahead of the Vikings. That would make for a great weekend, but what would make it perfect? Three games should be of interest for Packers fans this week, and they all take place before Monday night’s showdown against the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.

One scenario which is improbable but not impossible would be the Packers entering Monday’s game knowing that winning their final two games would guarantee them the number one seed. They’d need some help this week for that to happen, which we’ll get into in a moment.

The Packers will be delighted with a victory this week as it would be a division-winning performance and would leave them just one win away from a first-round bye. But it could get even better than that.

Here’s how.
