3. Allen Lazard

On Monday night in Week 6, the Packers were down to this same Lions team and needed someone to step up. Davante Adams was still out with a toe injury and Geronimo Allison and Marquez Valdes-Scantling were struggling with injuries of their own. Allen Lazard was more than happy to step up and help the Packers come away with a come-from-behind victory.

Eleven weeks later, the Packers were struggling again and facing another comeback attempt against the Lions. Down by seven points in the fourth quarter and the offense running out time with just over five minutes left in the game, Lazard stepped up again, hauling in a 28-yard touchdown pass. After Mason Crosby made the extra-point, the game was tied and Lazard was the hero again.

Lazard finished the game with four catches for 69 yards and that touchdown.

The Packers have been desperate for someone to step up and be their third weapon on offense. Lazard might just be their guy. What they have is what they have at this moment and Lazard appears to be their best option after Jones and Adams.

Lazard left the game after catching a slant of the next drive for a first down. Hopefully the injury isn’t serious and he’ll be able to return after the bye.
