1. Aaron Rodgers rediscovers his best form

At his best, Aaron Rodgers can still be the biggest difference-maker in the NFC. We’ve seen some vintage moments from Rodgers this year, but he’s been less consistent than in previous seasons. Part of that could be due to learning a new offense and a lack of experience with many of the wide receivers. Some of it is on him, missing throws he used to make in his sleep.

Last week’s win at Detroit was frustrating. The offense couldn’t get going in the first half. Rodgers overthrew some passes which, again, could be on him or the receiver not being in the right place.

But when Rodgers is in rhythm, he’s still one of the best passers in all of football. He can still make the ridiculous throws and he knows how to run an offense, making the right directions and taking care of the football.

We don’t need the 2011 or 2014 version of Rodgers, but if he and the offense can clean up some of the mistakes from the past couple of games and he gets in rhythm, the Packers can be a very dangerous team in the playoffs. The rest of the roster is talented enough to play their part, so if Rodgers gets on a roll like he so often has, the Packers will be serious contenders.
