The Packers meet the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Here are four bold predictions.

The Green Bay Packers‘ incredible first season under head coach Matt LaFleur continues, and after eliminating their old rivals last weekend, they attempt to reach the Super Bowl with a victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

The Packers aren’t expected to win this game. They enter as underdogs, which is to be expected given the 49ers’ dominance this season and their 37-8 win over Green Bay in Week 12. But the Packers weren’t supposed to even make the playoffs this year according to many analysts. They certainly weren’t meant to earn a first-round bye and reach the NFC Championship Game. Yet here they are.

That said, it’s no secret how challenging this game will be. The 49ers have been the standout team in the NFC, powered by a dominant defense and an exciting offense. Winning in their stadium won’t be easy, although both the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons achieved that this season.

This is a chance for revenge for the Pack. Not just for the Week 12 loss, but for Aaron Rodgers to eliminate the team that passed up on him back in 2005. And for Green Bay to defeat the team that eliminated it in the playoffs in both 2012 and 2013.

So, with all that said, let’s make four bold predictions for the NFC Championship Game.
