Jalen Reagor

Back to the draft, and a target in the early rounds could be Jalen Reagor out of TCU. Reagor has been a popular choice to the Packers in mock drafts so far this offseason, and understandably so.

For an offense that regularly aims to set up a deep shot downfield off of play-action, the Packers have lacked a receiver capable of making defenses pay. Reagor could be that man in LaFleur’s offense. He is one of the best vertical threats in the draft class — in three years at TCU, Reagor averaged 15.19 yards per reception. In that time, he caught 22 touchdowns. His longest reception was 92 yards.

Reagor could fall to the second round, but whether he’ll still be on the clock when the Packers pick at No. 62 remains to be seen. It’s too early to tell exactly who will be selected where. You could make a case for Reagor going in either the first or second round, and he has the potential to be a very good receiver in the NFL.

The Packers will have options when they hit the clock given the depth of the class at the position. Gutekunst addressed key needs at edge rusher, safety and cornerback using a mix of free agency and the draft. The same could happen at wide receiver.
