4. Right tackle

This all depends on Bryan Bulaga‘s future. If the Packers don’t bring him back, the right tackle job will be open.

One candidate would be Billy Turner, who would make the switch from right guard. Turner’s versatility was one of the reasons why it made sense to sign him last offseason. Of the current players on the roster, this makes the most sense.

If the Packers can convince Jared Veldheer to come back, he could also be a candidate to replace Bulaga. But considering he retired a year ago, only he knows whether he’s willing to come back for a full season.

If the Packers don’t go with Veldheer or a player already on the roster, they’d need to find their starting right tackle in the offseason.

Talent can be found early in the draft. Five tackles made NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah’s top 50 prospect rankings.

If the Packers are willing to go after one of the top tackles in free agency, they’d surely be better off using that money to pay Bulaga, a player who already knows the system and has proven himself in this offense.

But if Bulaga has played his final snap in Green Bay, the right tackle job will be wide open.
