What are the Packers’ biggest positions of need ahead of free agency?

The NFL offseason is heating up. With the NFL Scouting Combine in the books, the next stop is free agency. The negotiating period begins in two weeks, which gives teams an extra two days to negotiate with upcoming free agents prior to the official start of the new league year on March 18.

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst likes to be an active participant in free agency. While the team has less salary cap flexibility than a year ago, it appears he’ll be in the market for help at positions of need once again.

There have been various reports of the Packers having an interest in free-agent linebackers, including a report by Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated that their “No. 1 priority” at linebacker is Cory Littleton.

The Packers will be hoping to address many of their biggest positions of need this offseason, allowing them to build on a successful 2019 season.

Free agency is almost here. Currently, the Packers have re-signed one player, Mason Crosby. Big decisions await. Whether it’s by re-signing players or bringing in talent from other teams, work needs to be done on the roster. Prior to free agency, I’ve ranked each position on the roster in order of how big a need it is this offseason.
