Packers free agency predictions 2020: Who re-signs, who walks?
Kyler Fackrell
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that it’s “unlikely” Kyler Fackrell will return in 2020. Outside of a 10.5-sack season in 2018, Fackrell hasn’t lived up to his third-round status with a combined six sacks in the other three seasons. It makes sense for both the Packers and for Fackrell to move on.
Prediction: Walks
Jared Veldheer
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Wednesday that Jared Veldheer plans to play next season. If Bulaga walks, bringing Veldheer back on a short-term deal makes sense.
Prediction: Re-signs
Ibraheim Campbell
Ibraheim Campbell gives the Packers more depth at safety. He’s capable of starting if there’s an injury to either Adrian Amos or Darnell Savage. Campbell played seven games and started three after returning from a torn ACL this past season and it would make sense to bring him back.
Prediction: Re-signs
Tyler Ervin
Tyler Ervin made a huge impact on special teams after arriving in Green Bay in December, turning a potentially record-setting return game (for the wrong reasons) into a good one. With the added value he brings on offense, re-signing Ervin should be a no-brainer.
Prediction: Re-signs
Jason Spriggs
Jason Spriggs never lived up to his potential after the Packers traded up for him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He hasn’t played since 2018.
Prediction: Walks
Ryan Grant
The Packers will be making changes at the wide receiver position this offseason, so it’s unlikely Ryan Grant will be back.
Prediction: Walks
B.J. Goodson
B.J. Goodson had a decent season, but the Packers need to get a lot better at inside linebacker. Expect a major overhaul at the position this offseason.
Prediction: Walks
