Ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft, what are the Green Bay Packers’ biggest concerns?

The free agency frenzy has come to an end. For the Green Bay Packers, it’s been a fairly quiet period. They’ve made some additions, all at positions of concern, while also letting a number of their own free agents walk, which was to be expected. How has free agency changed the Packers’ biggest needs?

So let’s talk about the additions and subtractions. The three signings were linebacker Christian Kirksey, tackle Rick Wagner and wide receiver Devin Funchess. All three new additions to the roster are replacing players who weren’t re-signed. The Packers let linebacker Blake Martinez, tackle Bryan Bulaga and wide receiver Geronimo Allison walk.

The Packers did re-sign tight end Marcedes Lewis and running back Tyler Ervin but also lost some pass-rush depth with Kyler Fackrell gone.

A month ago, I ranked each position group on the roster by the need to add talent this offseason. In this article, I’ve updated the rankings based on the Packers’ work in free agency. This is a good way of determining the strongest parts of the roster that don’t need much work and also the areas of need moving forward.
