Packers: Aaron Rodgers named to NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team

Aaron Rodgers has been named to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team.

For the majority of the past decade, the Green Bay Packers have been strong contenders in the NFC with eight playoff appearances and a Super Bowl championship in the past 10 years. Aaron Rodgers is the main reason why.

Rodgers has built a Hall-of-Fame resume in that time with two NFL MVP awards, seven Pro Bowl selections, and three All-Pro honors. Most importantly of all, he guided the Packers to their fourth Lombardi Trophy in the 2010 season and won the Super Bowl MVP award.

Rodgers led the league in passer rating in 2011 and 2012 and was the league’s touchdown leader in 2016.

At his best Rodgers has been simply unstoppable. And there are various memories to take away from the decade. His playoff run in the 2010 championship season. The dominant offensive performances in Green Bay’s 15-1 season in 2011. From “R-E-L-A-X” to his second MVP award in 2014. The “run the table” end to the 2016 season when Rodgers played some of his greatest football.

Over the decade, Rodgers started 142 games and threw for 38,145 yards and 305 touchdowns with 63 interceptions. He only threw double-digit interceptions in a single season once, which was in 2010.

We can go on and on about Rodgers’ incredible statistics and awards over the past decade, highlighting why he deserves to make the team.

The other quarterback selected to the team was Tom Brady, who also needs no introduction.

Two other former Packers made the team: Julius Peppers and Jahri Evans.

Peppers is a future Hall-of-Famer. He started the decade with the Chicago Bears and ended with the Carolina Panthers, spending three years with the Packers in between. In Green Bay, Peppers made the Pro Bowl in 2015.

Evans was a four-time Pro Bowler with the New Orleans Saints last decade before spending the 2017 season with the Packers.
