Miami Dolphins

With the most draft picks in the 2020 NFL Draft (14), including three in the first round and two in the second, the Dolphins have the draft capital to do whatever it is they want. They could package picks to move up to get a quarterback they need, they could sit back and let the board come to them, they could afford to send one of their first-rounders off for more lower-round picks, seriously whatever they want.

That’s why they would make for a great partner for the Packers.

The Dolphins have two picks in the first round the team could covet. The Dolphins have picks 18 and 26, the Packers have the capital to trade for. The more realistic option being number 26.

If a player like Oklahoma’s Kenneth Murray or LSU’s Patrick Queen are still available at pick 26, the Packers would be best to jump ahead of the Ravens and make that trade. The Ravens are also in the market for an athletic inside linebacker and would love to jump all over either player. If the Packers were to just sit back, it’s likely neither would be available when their turn came around.

It would cost the Packers No. 30 overall (620 points) as well as multiple late-round picks in order to move up. More than likely their fifth (136 overall, 21 points) as well as both their sixth-round picks (175, 21 points, and 192, 15 points) just to get close to the value of the Dolphins’ 26th pick (700 points). But, it’s a trade that might be worth it.

Also, the Dolphins are a good candidate to trade back into the back end of the first round. With two second-round picks and nine more after the second round, the Dolphins could be aggressive and grab four first-round picks.

The Dolphins’ 39th overall (510) draft pick, would be good bait for the Packers to move down from 30th with the Dolphins likely having to part with two of their three fifth-round picks to make up the difference.
