Five trade scenarios for the Green Bay Packers in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The 2020 NFL Draft is going to be a doozy.

Remote selections and Zoom trade discussions are going to make it the most unusual draft in recent memory.

Here are five trades the Packers can make to better navigate the draft:

1. Trade up with Saints

Trading up in the first round is going to be difficult for the Packers. Most of the teams ahead of them have plenty of draft picks already to work with, and won’t be actively looking to move down unless there is hardly anybody they feel strongly about taking. The Saints, however, have just five picks in this year’s draft and might only be compelled to stay put at the 24th pick in the event that their successor to Drew Brees remains on the board.

While this trade doesn’t give the Saints any more picks, grabbing an extra third-rounder could be of use to them as they look to get deeper on the offensive line and at tight end.

The Packers, with this trade, would be in prime position to secure either Patrick Queen or Kenneth Murray for their defense, or Justin Jefferson or Tee Higgins on offense. Surrendering the third-rounder would be difficult as the Packers have numerous holes on their roster, but moving up for more premium talent is not a bad idea.
