Who could the Packers target on Day 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft?

The Green Bay Packers shocked the world last night, trading up four spots to select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the first round. This pick will be discussed for many years to come but for now, the attention shifts to Day 2.

Love is a pick for the future, but the Packers still have positional needs they need to address for the short term. Fortunately, there’s still a lot of talent left on the board.

Green Bay owns two picks on Friday night. The first is the 62nd overall pick in the second round, the next is the 94th overall pick in the third round.

Here are the best remaining prospects for the Packers on Day 2:

Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor

Believed to be a first-round lock after his dominant combine performance, Mims ticks all of the boxes for what the Packers need in a wide receiver. It’s unlikely he’ll fall to No. 62, but he’s a player who could make an immediate difference if he’s still there.

Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson

Another top prospect at receiver who would be a first-rounder any other year. The Clemson star will likely go early on Day 2.

Ezra Cleveland, T, Boise State

After focusing on the future on Day 1, could the Packers do the same tonight and select Cleveland? He likely wouldn’t start right away but could be a long-term answer at right tackle.

Jordan Elliott, DT, Missouri

Elliott could be in play at No. 62. The Packers desperately need some help along the defensive line and the Missouri star could provide that.

Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

If Taylor is still there at No. 62, it would be very difficult not to take him. He has star potential at running back, which could be key with Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams entering contract years.

Michael Pittman Jr., WR, USC

Pittman could quickly become a consistent target for Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay’s offense. Another first-round talent who could fall.

Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado

An explosive playmaker who could cause nightmares for defenses in this offense. Injury concerns could cause him to fall, but that could be good news for Green Bay later in the second round.

Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU

Another top defensive tackle who didn’t hear his name called in the opening round. Strong against the run, he could help fix the Packers’ biggest defensive concern.

Other names to watch: LB Zach Baun (Wisconsin), CB Trevon Diggs (Alabama), RB J.K. Dobbins (Ohio State), RB D’Andre Swift (Georgia), DT Marlon Davidson (Auburn), OT Josh Jones (Houston), DT Justin Madubuike (Texas A&M), TE Cole Kmet (Notre Dame), WR Chase Claypool (Notre Dame), WR KJ Hamler (Penn State).
